Project HOVR horizon-aircraft-secures-2-million-for-all-weather-evtol-system
Canada-based Horizon Aircraft has secured a $2 million grant from the Initiative for Sustainable Aviation Technology (INSAT) to fund Project CRYSTAL – an all-weather eVTOL initiative. The project has been renamed project HOVR.
The first phase of Project HOVR will explore advanced ice detection and protective coatings developed by the University of Toronto, while the second phase, supported by the Flight Test Centre of Excellence (3C), will test the technologies on the aircraft.
